What is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the process of recognising the experience, skills and knowledge you already have, and turning them into a nationally recognised qualification.
It doesn’t matter whether you gained your skills through formal training, work experience or life experience – what matters is that you have them. We’ll assess your existing “competencies” against the qualification framework and, if you meet the benchmarks, you could get a statement of attainment for one or more course units or even a full qualification that will take your career to the next level.

The RPL Steps
1. Complete the Application for RPL Form (refer to link at bottom of the page) and submit to enquiries@transformed.com.au.
2. On receipt of the form, Transformed will contact you and discuss the RPL process.
a. understands the RPL process i.e. a formal assessment process leading to a competency decision
b. has access to copies of the relevant units
c. understands the requirements of collecting and matching evidence to all parts of the units.
d. understands the timeframes to complete.
3. Transformed will provide you with the RPL assessment tools.
4. Evidence is submitted to the assessor who will assess the evidence and conduct an interview.
5. If the assessor finds your evidence competent, competency will be awarded against the unit of competency.
6. If the evidence is NYC the assessor will contact you to explain areas requiring further evidence.
Types of RPL evidence
RPL all comes down to you proving your skills. You need to provide evidence that you have the competencies – no matter how you learned them.

What is Credit Transfer?
Transformed Pty Ltd recognises that a candidate who has previously completed an equivalent training product should have their training recognised.
Transformed will accept and recognise qualifications and statements of attainment issued by any RTO.
Students are entitled to apply for credit transfer in a course or qualification in which they are seeking enrolment.
Credit transfer will not be granted for units of competence or qualifications which are not included in Transformed scope of registration.
Credit transfer may only be awarded for whole units of competence.
Students will be required to provide Transformed access to their USI transcript and/or details of the issuing RTO so Transformed can contact the organisation and verify the authenticity of the relevant statement of attainment or qualification.
The Credit Transfer Steps
Requests for credit transfer must be submitted to Transformed via an Application for Credit Transfer Form (refer to link at bottom of the page), accompanied by authorisation to grant Transformed to access the USI register and/or details of the issuing RTO so Transformed can contact the organisation and verify the authenticity of the relevant statement of attainment or qualification.
Steps:
- Complete the Application for Credit Transfer Form (refer to link at bottom of the page) and submit to enquiries@transformed.com.au.
- On receipt of the form, Transformed will contact you and discuss the process.

e. Students will be notified of the credit transfer outcome.
